From E-Commerce to Offline Success: The Journey of Darja Fashion

Hey there, fashion enthusiasts! Welcome to the first blog post of Darja Fashion, where we share an exciting journey that began with a simple idea and transformed into something extraordinary.

Founded by Malakin Kirti Jadhav and her business partner - shubham Gaikwad in 2022,

Darja Fashion was born from a deep-rooted passion for Marathi culture and quality fashion. With a focus on Marathi printed T-shirts, this brand aims to celebrate local identity while ensuring exceptional quality.

The idea was straightforward – to create clothing that resonates with the rich heritage of Maharashtra. The name "Darja," which means "quality" in Marathi, reflects our commitment to providing nothing short of excellence.

As we neared the end of our first year in business, the overwhelming support from our community inspired us to expand. The positive feedback we received was nothing short of exhilarating, propelling us to take the next big step in our entrepreneurial journey.

In a bold move, on January 26, 2024, we opened our offline store in Chinchwad, Pune. This was not just a business decision, but a heartfelt commitment to our Marathi roots and a desire to engage with our customers in person.

Expanding into the offline space allowed us to connect with customers on a deeper level, fostering a sense of community around our brand. We wanted to create a space where everyone feels welcome, and where the essence of Marathi culture can be experienced firsthand.

During this journey, we have had the privilege of collaborating with many customers, including some well-known personalities. The exposure we gained was tremendous; we were even featured in the popular reality show Bigg Boss Marathi Season 5!

In addition, our products have made their way into various Marathi TV serials, solidifying our presence in the local entertainment scene. It’s rewarding to see our creations being worn and appreciated by celebrities, as it reinforces our belief in the quality and appeal of our products.

Moreover, our story has caught the attention of local news outlets, where we have been featured for our contributions to the fashion industry in Maharashtra. These milestones have not only celebrated our brand, but also highlighted the value of supporting local businesses.
